The creepiest thing I’ve ever done for a band was, well I’m not sure since I tend to do strange things, but I do know that it didn’t involve me cutting someone’s name into my skin. Someone did, however, bleed through the process of cutting Mark McMillon from Ohio’s The Story Changes name into her arm. I literally feel sick typing this. Ahh. Anywho, The Story Changes consists of two dudes, Mark & Poppy, from Dayton, Ohio. And you should listen to them because well, I said so and if a person was willing to permanently damage their skin for the sake of showing some love for the band, then you know they must be worth it.
Q. The worst thing you have ever accidentally done on stage?
A. The first thing that comes to mind is a show in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The soundman asked to record our set and we said yes. We figured it was a typical soundboard recording or some room mics in the back of the club, but he ended up adding a lot of extra microphones everywhere on the tiny stage and used the big bulky mic stands that the club had. We all took a mental note of where the stuff was and the limited space we had left before we started, but somehow I managed to fall into some stuff and knock a lot of it over by the end of the second song and ended up flat on my back. Good times, haha!
Q. Weirdest thing a fan has ever done?
A. Once in Southern California, a girl that had been coming to see us in the area showed up to a show at Chain Reaction in Anaheim with my name cut into her arm. She pulled her hoodie sleeve up to show me and I got a little creeped out. Other than that, our fans are awesome and rarely is anything weird or awkward.
Q. Obama or McCain?
A. I can’t speak for our entire band. We don’t tie the band with any particular party or candidate, but I personally am leaning towards Obama.
Q. What is your favorite venue to play in?
A. Some of our favorites include the Troubadour in Hollywood, the House of Bricks in Des Moines, Last Exit in Tempe, and the Pearl in Dayton.
Q. Worst late night touring experience?
A. Once in Des Moines, IA, there was a riot at our show and we had to get a police escort back to the hotel. We were out for a run of dates with the Slackers. We played our set and everything went well, but a little later, a few bad seeds at the show started a fight towards the end of the Slackers’ encore and attacked their singer. The place errupted and the whole thing escalated to the point where everyone except the bands were forced to leave. The few that started the problem called some friends who showed up, threats were being made from their side of the glass doors of the club and the police were called. It was a shame because up until a couple of meatheads ruined it, the show was amazing and a really good time. The Slackers are great people and one of our favorite bands.
Q. TSC is often compared to Jimmy Eat World, what are your thoughts on that?
A. I think it’s just the poppy rock vibe and maybe the production a bit. Jimmy Eat World is a great band. Clarity is an amazing album.
Q. Your thoughts on the first song you ever wrote?
A. Oh wow, I can’t really remember the first song I ever wrote, but I’m sure it was really simple and probably really bad:)
Fill in the blank

There is obviously a lot to know about this. I think you made some good points in Features also.
