Jen started a fight at this year’s AP Tour.

The Milwaukee date of the AP Tour was insane. We entered the Rave, my shoes were a-glowing (literally) and first to perform was Massachusetts native Nick Santino of A Rocket To The Moon. Playing only songs from Greetings From… it was a killer set. We left the pit after ARTTM, and went to merch. Chatted with Nick for a while, then off to see Hit The Lights. Unfortunately, they didn’t play the hidden track “Acoustic”, then after that was The Maine, who, remind me incredibly of All Time Low. The hilarious stage banter between John O and Garrett was not unlike the dirty, inappropriate commentary provided by Jack Barakat and Alex Gaskarth, haha. Family Force 5 was pretty entertaining, you can never go wrong with matching outfits, right? By far, the most insane set was during 3OH!3. The crowd was rowdy, dancing, and the good thing about concerts is that everyone around you look like complete idiots, but no one cares because you’re all doing the same thing.
During FF5 (or was it 3OH!3?) this huge guy, four times my size, in his 20s-30s, decided to enter the pit, carrying a full cup of beer over his head. Of course someone pushes him, his beer pours atop our tiny little heads, and everyone around him is pissed off.
I, who had just gotten the camera covered in beer, is sort of, kind of, really mad. Being the impulsive, violent little kid that I am, decide to take the tall man’s expensive hat off his head, and thrust it somewhere else. He doesn’t like that. But since he was facing the stage, he didn’t know it was me. He screams, and asks who did it. He thinks it’s the guy behind him so they start to argue and push each other, while swearing at the same time. Next thing I know, I’m awkwardly hiding behind a tall chick to avoid the scary hatless man’s view, just in case I get sold out. The creepy thing is that everytime the jumping would start during a 3OH!3 song, I’d find the hat under my shoe. It happened three times. It was the hat that kept following me, :D
So after the closing song of “Don’t Trust Me”, everyone shuffled off. We’re outside and met all the lovely young men from The Maine. Pretty disappointing to not see anyone from HTL, FF5, or 3OH!3 come out. It was nice getting to know them again, and it was like John O had a magnetic pull to him. He walked about four feet before a huge flock of ladies ran toward and mob him. Some fan chicks wrote their numbers on his hand with a sharpie. Do they really think he’ll call them? If anything, he’ll just be frustrated when he’s in the shower trying to scrub it off. Garrett (bassist of The Maine) and I discussed Obama and the election for a while, and after meeting everyone, we finally headed home. Great night.
