their band has officially ended and will make no further new recordings or perform live.

Anti-Flag Blamed for Arizona Shooting
Posted by Jenn Aguinaldo
Last week in Tucson, Arizona, Jared Loughner opened fire with a semi-automatic on a crowd of people at a political event. A previous classmate of Loughner later came out stating that Jared at a time listened to political punk band Anti-Flag whose lyrics inspired the name of the site you’re currently on. Alternative Press shared an exlusive interview with lead singer Justin Sane who claims that this act of violence is far from what Anti-Flag stand for.
Were you aware of the news when the incident happened?
Yeah, I saw it on the evening news. It was very moving and very chilling. I’m not ashamed to admit I actually teared up watching the news report. It was pretty bad.
When did you first hear your name being pulled into the story?
My sister called me that night. I was driving home around 11 p.m., and she informed me that a former classmate of the shooter had reportedly said something about Anti-Flag. Obviously, it was a real surprise because Anti-Flag are this band that for over a decade have been committed to Read More
Tear it Apart
Posted by Jordan Mix“Place me on your shelf and add me to your collection with everyone else who wants your affection.”
Aspiring musician, Sam Ceglarek recently debuted her newest song, Tear It Apart. Sam has just finished her first semester at Berklee School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and recorded this song in one of the school’s practice rooms. This melodic pop anthem, produced by Dylan Nelson, is a love child of Sara Bareilles and Michael Bublé. Written by Ceglarek, and featuring the talents of Ian Stewart (Violin) and Sarah Rogowski (saxophone), Tear It Apart is a strong start to Sam’s career and should soon be occupying the capacity of iPod’s everywhere.

Members leave Paramore
Posted by Jenn Aguinaldo“Don’t want to hear your sad songs, I don’t want to feel your pain, when you swear it’s all my fault, cause you know we’re not the same.”

Paramore has released their official statement on their website yesterday announcing the departure of two members of the band, guitarist Josh Farro and drummer Zac Farro. In the past, lead singer Hayley Williams was in a relationship with Josh that ended badly, causing the band to nearly breakup. These internal issues also led to a cancellation of a part of their European tour back in 2008. The band attempted to keep their relationship a secret, but finally came out with what really happened in one of the 2010 issues of Alternative Press. Although not every detail of their relationship rose to the surface, one can still learn all he needs to know about it in a majority of the song lyrics on their album Brand New Eyes. The past few years were a hectic one for the band, from the secret breakup, to Hayley’s naked Read More

Although the date of release has not yet been announced, former Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump has finished recording his debut solo album Soul Punk onto Island Records. He is one of the dozens of AP’s Most Anticipated Music issue coming out next month, and is letting his fans help in his decision of which version of “Spotlight” he wants to put on the album. Head over to patrickstump.com to cast your vote. I’m more of a “New Regrets” kind of kid if you ask me.
